Acupuncture

Contemporary Medical Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a method that promotes natural healing and improves the functioning of your body. In the last few decades Acupuncture has been widely accepted by the public in western countries. Contemporary Medical Acupuncture is a precise peripheral nerve stimulation technique, in which fine solid needles (acupuncture needles) are inserted into anatomically defined neurofunctional sites, and stimulated manually or with electricity for the therapeutic purpose of modulating pain for Neurological and muscular disorders.

What does Electrical stimulation feels like?
After you feel an initial low grade sensation of buzzing, warmth, throbbing or pulsing, you will be in full control of the intensity. The controls are highly adjustable and, based on patient feedback, the level of impulse can be adjusted to allow for a comfortable treatment. It is not painful and can be very relaxing.
